Blackberry is being fished…
Recent rumours talk about Microsoft trying to fishes Blackberry and the latter’s stock going up because of that. Wow I hope this stock madness keeps going on for the Blackberry’s sake, but there is something that make me extremely happy about this news.
Microsoft has Windows Mobile for years and has not captured the market by storm because Symbian is eating Microsoft Candies in the mean time. The strategy behind WinMo was to place it as the default mobile platform, but ended making WinMo a joke.
Now that the WinMo strategy has not paid off, Microsoft is trying to buy Blackbery, don’t forget that everybody considers Blackberry as the only company that can put the iphone in shames in the business sector, now Microsoft want their share in this area to brainwashes this little cute device, but just wait for another WinMo zombie.
This situation works for Apple, now that Blackberry is going to be in Microsoft’s hands (Blackberry has its space like the iphone has its own) and will be saturated by features, losing its style and making it difficult to use, because innovation will be cut to make space for its propietary features. Apple can make faster revisions to bring the iphone to businesses in need of innovative and easy to use pda-phone combo without sacrificing the elegance and the details.
Long live the Blackberry, it is heading to Palm Cemetery. I hope they wake up and keep innovating alone. They have proved it.
