Good hardware never dies: Mac Classic

While looking for some Bike gears in the garage I have found my very old Macintosh Classic Computer, wow, boxed, forgotten dirty, losing its color and with a lot of memories inside.

Wow, this was my first mac, my cute little Classic, monocromatic, all in one computer, almost portable, because it was easy to carry around, full of applications even Quarkxpress 3 is installed and working, with its happy face bring me joy to know that this machine was working 15 years later, manufactured by Apple in 1992, I bought this machine when I was first introduced to graphic design while working in a mac repair shop, I can’t believe this computer, the Finder, the System 7.1, Claris Filemaker Pro. Ready Set Go still works, damn those sotfware from the past rocks, Illustrator 3.0. This computer was the center of a big graphic revolution before the Color Classic and the Macintosh LC and LC II. This is how thing were done, built to last.

Since 1993 I have bought a Performa LC II, Powermac 6100, Powermac 7200, Powermac G3, Ibook Graphite, Powermac G4, Powermac G5, 2 Imac G5, 1 Imac Intel and 3 Intel PC, much of them are were sold, but the Classic is still here and working, with the same hard drive, floppy disk and Memory, the same mouse, always happy to turn on again…

Wow
