What is keeping Apple from rent movies and music? Short and obvious answer, Steve…..
Steve hasn’t been a fanatical of the movie-music rental model, he trashed it and this is the only thing that give some breeze to the others online music and movies, which don’t stop telling people that there is an advantage or renting over owning your tunes, so why not mix the two model?, the traditional and established $.99 model and a monthly based payment rental model, giving the final decision to the user and elimating any complaint from executives and online stores’s manager.
If I were to choose, I would prefer buying my music and keeps it for as long as I want, instead of keep paying a monthly fee to save my library for another month, but there is a people for every choice and in the end reaching everyone customer and his or her decision is the reason of those services.
Wake up Steve and let them know something about rental the Apple way.
