Now that Apple successfully enter into the mobile arena, the mp3 market it’s secured for a while, the computer business is doing great thanks to the transition to Intel, in the only space that apple is not doing something is in the photographic space.

Here it is: Apple introduced its first full digital camera in 1994, the Apple Quick Take 100 and even shipped a Windows connection kit, the QuickTake was discontinued before Steve Jobs returned to Apple in 1997.

The strange thing here is that for a company that emphasises the Photo management quality of is applications, Iphoto and Aperture, it doesn’t have a camera, being one of the first sellers of digital cameras worldwide.

You could say: but Apple sells music applications and doesn’t have any instruments, but this is another beast, don’t forget that Apple can market music openly because its catfight with the Beatles.

Maybe someday we will see an Apple branded camera with wifi and neat features to delight us and why not make us spend more money. The first steps are done, the iphone has a camera inside, so just wait.
