Appleinsider brought us the news that the Newton as we know it will be reborn with multitouch features and else, but I would like to believe that if there is something in Apple’s pipeline must be a UMPC or a Tablet, the Newton name is worth the revivable alone, but a PDA, there is not PDA market anymore, this market was eaten alive by smartphones and Apple has a Ultra Smartphone, the iphone. So if there is a revivable I don’t think Apple will wastes time and money to compete with Palm? No way, but it would be difficult to hang out with an Iphone and a Newton at the same time…

But maybe there is a niche market for PDA and the rest of us don’t know it and Apple will rediscover it, but with the ipod with wifi capabilities, the iphone with agenda, calendar and some features that belongs to PDA there is not space for a PDA in Apple lineup.
