Microsoft Scratches from Hell
Microsoft Xbox 360 has been suffering of Scratches from Hell since the launch day. Hundreds of Xbox users reported damaged cds while using the units. Microsoft suggested that it was caused by moving the units with a cd or dvd inside or changing the position of the console, but it was really late, people were unhappy with this situation and Microsoft received 2 Class Action Suits and end up promising repairs that will account for more than 1 Billion Dollars. The story doesn’t end here, now the newly launched Halo 3, the $69.99 Limited Edition discs comes scratched by default, in what seems to be a Microsoft poor packaging decision or a rush to put Halo out.
Remember the Microsoft Ipod Package video that circulated the internet, it reminds me the ulterior message of this video, created within Microsoft to show how bad they are when it comes to packages designs, see the news here and watch the video here, they know nothing about packaging and this is the result.
Maybe one day the big M will bring us something that work and dazzle us to our bones, but this day is not today…
