Apple Iphone: Newton all over again?
Why am I obligated to update my iphone to Apple standards, why can’t I do whatever I want with the Iphone I paid, it wasn’t a gift from Apple. And why Apple is trying us like stupid nerds that need to have the iphone updated to continue enjoying it, why Apple doesn’t want to sell more iphones? The strategy here went the extra mile, it could have been accidental that all your non-Apple applications stop working with the update, but ALL the applications means they (apple) were trying to stop us from running those applications.
People are desperately trying to hack, port new applications and games to the iphone because the iphone capabilities, you hasn’t heard any problem with hackers trying to run any particular application in Windows Mobile, first Microsoft has a plan with this platform and knows that more applications running in those devices means more people willing to buy them; but with Apple is totally different, locked people with AT&T, then doesn’t provide any Developer Kit, letting developers with empty hands creating just web based applications, and now they are hunting the hacks that unlock the iphone and at the same time render useless all others applications.
Lottery, it is the Newton Appleinsider.com was talking lately, Apple isn’t listening what people wants to do with their iphone, let us, break it, update it when we want, paint it, smash it, blend it, in the end the only one making profits is Apple, please don’t stop us from enjoying this smart device, but, hey way we want….
If this type of behavior last a little longer the user base will have to cry foul and then Apple will stops and consider us, please charge us a minimum price if we break OUR iphones, here they (Apple) win, but if I decide to hack MY iphone it is my business and Apple should only help me have a pleasant journey, not treat us like babies.
I paid $600 and I am enjoying it, but can’t update it…. thanks Apple.
