Aggresive Viral Marketing: Mac OS X Leopard II
We are 2 weeks away from the Leopard day and as a mac user I am still asking what would be the Leopard Launch Day like ?
In my past article about the marketing material available to put Leopard in front of everybody, I forgot to mention these:
Paint the New York trains with Leopard Colors:
In Europe is a normal thing to have the city trains painted with advertising material, so imagine some of the most busy lines of New York Train System totally painted with Leopard colors for a week with only the internet address and the launch day. It would be huge.
Leopard T-shirt Zombies:
Imagine Time Square crowded with thousands of girls and boys wearing Leopard t-shirt, like zombies, walking through the crowded sidewalks, on taxis, in every corner of New York, Los Angeles. This one will be the cheaper marketing effort, because Apple only has to mail thousand or millions T-shirts with the Launch Date Printed and request the user to wear it any given date. I remember when Apple send stickers and marketing material, my friends made lines in front of my apartment for the materials.
Apple logo scratched by a Leopard
Imagine if Apple delivered millions of stickers of their famous Apple logo but with a twist, scratched instead of bitten, this will be a must for every mac fan to place it in the back of their cars.
Google Leopard
Google is one of the most visited site in the world, why not pay Google some money to make their homepage a Leopard Information Center for a week. This page will provides information about the new Operating System, the launch day, information about the real animal, tips and tricks, store locations and more.
