You will NEVER see an iMac ZF5475br

What I really like about Apple is the simplicity, every mac model represent an economic or professional group with two different colors and nothing else, simple. This categorization is something implemented with the second coming of Steve Jobs to Apple, because I remember when the Performa Line had those strange numbers attatched at the end (Macintosh Performa 5210CD), but thanks God, this aberration is not more.
In the other hand, you could still find that almost every pc maker still uses numbers to differentiate one machine from another, sometime the differentiation is vague, more megahertz, more video ram, a dvd burner, making the experience painful to the buyers that have to check every single machine to know the different between them.
Take for example I tried to buy one Sony Vaio Laptop, I got macs at home and at the office so a pc would be some kind of experiment, I went to Sony Style Online Store searching for laptops, there are 6 different laptop categories and an umpc, I chose the Sony Vaio TZ Series, this serie has the next models:
VGN-TZ2000
VGN-TZ2500
VGN-TZ298N/XC
VGN-TZ295N/XC
VGN-TZ285N/RC
VGN-TZ270N/B
VGN-TZ250N/B
VGN-TZ250N/P
VGN-TZ250N/N
All of them with different prices and specs, don’t forget that this is just a model from the six main categories and there are 5 more (categories) with more models each; you know what, it is very difficult to buy Sony laptops online with too much models to choose and little differences between them, but I will give them credit and will recognize that I am wrong about models nomenclature and what the numbers at the end of any given pc model represent.
I return home and bought a Macbook Pro.
