macCompanion Magazine: June 2008 – A Landmark Event

Richland, WA – The June 2008 issue of macCompanion magazine is now available online. Each article has been made printable through the magic of CSS via the browser of your choice. There is also a 105-page PDFed version of the magazine available for download.

Columns:
* Robert Pritchett discusses PESWiki, Hydrogen Generation and dedicates this issue to his father for Father’s Day.
* Jonathan Hoyle previews his expectations at the World Wide Developers’ Conference at the Moscone Center.
* Harry (Doc) Babad is back with another round of MacTips.
* Ted Bade takes a different tack in navigating Apple news and the Mac experience.
* Gene Steinberg asks about Safari safety.
* Rick Sutcliffe muses about Macintosh Word Processors.
* Dr. Eric Flescher offers some Raider of the Lost Macintosh freeware for the Mac.
* Steven H Fyffe reports on the Pixar Story with Lee Unkrich.

Book Reviews:
Robert Pritchett reviewed the Big Book of Apple hacks, the Principles of Project Management, Subject to Change, and Web 2.0, a Strategy Guide, while Dr. Eric Flescher reviewed Color Confidence, Color Management, iMovie ’08, iDVD and iPhoto ’08, and Photoshop Elements 5 Workflow.

In the Greenware section, Robert L Pritchett reviewed two books on An Introduction to Gravity Modification and The Shell Game and two articles on his experiences in hydrogen generation in the “Hindenburg II”, a Ford E350 that now is doubling mileage and Rethinking Biofuel – and unintended consequences. In Hardware this month, Kristine Lefevre reports on the Tom Bihn Swift bag.

Software Reviews:
Robert Pritchett discusses the BannerZest Pro app, Harry {Doc{ Babad reviews Bento, FileUtilsCM and iKey, Ted Bad gives a report on Photoshop Elements 6, and taylor and Wayne LeFevre finish up this issue with a review of TAB Manga.

This is the month for fathers. If your father doesn’t have a Mac yet, get him one. It is the least you can do!

MPN, LLC publishes the free macCompanion Magazine each month and has done so since 2003 with the goal of helping those interested in the Macintosh to “dig deeper” into what it has to offer. This is the 6th year for publishing the magazine. MPN, LLC also runs the 3-Rivers Synergy Centre, a place that focuses on all things related to alternative energy solutions.
