iphone_broadcast Mobile.me: The center of our mobile universe

Nobody knows for sure what Apple is planning with mobile.me (the soon to be defunct .mac) service, if everything works à la Apple then it will be a success, in the mean time there are things that Apple needs to incorporate to make it even more interesting.

Here is a list of what I consider to be features needed by mobile users:

1. Free Email account (Manager)
Apple should provide a free email account for everybody and an Email Account Manager if you are a corporation or have more than one email account. The Email Account Manager will let you send and receive mails from any account.

2. iCal Sync
This feature is a must have and of course will be included in any mobile service Apple provides.

3. Business Card on the Go
Want to beam your business card to your clients of friend, then Business Card on the Go will let you share your contact information as a vCard file readable by Address Book.

4. Centralized Content
This feature will let you collect information (excel data, quicktime, powerpoint and) and share it with our friend sending it from your iPhone to any iPhone user preselected.

5. Net Voice (Virtual Communicator)
Imagine that you are out of luck and your phone service is down (could be), Net Voice will let you connect to your Mobile.met account record 1 minute of voice message and deliver to your family and friends.

6. Video Conferencing on the Go (iChat Mobile)
Mobile.me must provides a real alternative to iChat and manage real conferencing to iPhone users.

7. Different Prices and Features
The service should be free for Persona Use, a not Small Business and a profit Price for Corporation with Exchange features, iCal, Live Conferencing, Unified Communication and Universal Access to mobile.me from Mac or PC.

8. iPhone GPS History
It will be a place at your mobile.me account that lets you record your 10 last places where you have been, while this feature could be a violation of your privacy, it may help to locate you if missing or something else.

Consider this other features to enrich the mobile.me experience:

9. Mobile.me needs to be a little inexpensive, no free.
10. You can attatch your gmail space to your .mac.
11. Email and web gallery should be provided by Google on the background.
12. Free email for all, but free, apple can be the sponsor, providing mac and ipod/iphone ads or third parties ads and at the same time conquer some Windows users.
5. It must be spin off. Apple should create mobile.me as an alternative to hotmail or gmail and rent the ad space to google.
6. It must come preinstalled and 1 year free to any mac user.
7. iSync must works with every cell phone, imagine syncing everywhere your mobile phone from your mac or pc.
8. Mobile.me should be the Apple wifi supplier, Got a Mac, got wifi, and guarantee mobile connection to every mac user for a competitive price.

Maybe the Apple strategy is far from these ideas and bring us more features and exciment to the table for an even better .mac experience…
