Macbook Air now lighter in price
The Macbook Air, which has been a tremendous success, has suffered a price reduction in order to keep the notebook price more in line with the market, the price for components has been getting cheaper, so the price reduction is a mandatory move for Apple.
The Macbook Air has some rivals in the light notebook area, the Lenovo X300 has been offered for $2500 with similar or more features than the Air. Toshiba has the Portege R500, a lightweight notebook to compete with the Air with an introductory price of $2,100.
Apple reduced $400 to the 64GB solid-state drive and $100 to the 80GB. This price reduction reflects Apple ability to quickly adapt to the economy, getting better products with better features for an affordable price and at the same time maintain the higher level of innovation among computer makers.
I hope the others Macbooks have the same reduction making them even more affordable and in line with my pocket balance.
