Where are those amazing Mac OS X apps?

mac-os-x-ios

Apple has been too busy working with the newly introduced iOS 4 mobile OS, a derivative of Mac OS X, that could potentially replace its father (Mac OS X) as the primary OS inside Macs.

Apple has neglected to inject the same entusiasm on the the Mac OS X developer community, there’s nothing new to talk about, not hardcore features that garner sufficient passion to the platform.

The only bright area in Mac OS X is related to games, Steam has been pushing games in Mac OS X even harder than Apple itself, it has forced Apple to update the graphic drivers for Snow Leopard, something that has been neglected for years.

OS X is a tremendous system, excellent and ultra easy to use, but Apple hasn’t poured enough marketing resources to let everybody knows about, instead Apple has focused on its mobile business that with its Halo Effect has brought and converted thousand of fanboys.

But Apple could still make iOS 4 a layer inside Mac OS X, something like the Dashboard, where mac users can run all the thousands applications available for iOS and return the brigth spot to the platform.
