Griffin today announced a Co-Op Initiative partnership with ScrollMotion, makers of the Iceberg Reader, and a leading developer of original applications for iPhone. The result of the partnership, called Griffin + Iceberg Kids, is Woogie, an entirely unique interactive children’s experience that entertains and educates children, at home and on the go.

Woogie is the soft and huggable answer to that inevitable question: “Can I play with your iPhone” Part stuffed animal and part protective case for iPhone and iPod touch, Woogie is designed to go wherever your kids are, be that at home, in the car, or anywhere else a stuffed animal can go. Woogie features two built-in speakers (powered by included AAA batteries) to play with Iceberg Kids eBooks, music, videos, and more. The six legs (or are they arms?), made from soft, non-toxic fabrics, allow easy carrying, and tuck underneath to prop Woogie up for handsfree viewing.

The Griffin + Iceberg Kids Co-Op Initiative began with a simple conversation. Every parent with an iPhone or iPod touch has been asked by their kids, “Can I play with that” Griffin’s design team, no strangers to this question, began to imagine a case created specifically for children, one that would protect their iPhone from the drops, dings, and bumps that are sure to happen in a kid’s hands. At the same time, ScrollMotion, the world’s largest publisher of children’s apps for iPhone, was looking for a new and creative way for children to meaningfully interact with their line of Iceberg Kids eBook apps. When Griffin and ScrollMotion first connected, this common interest quickly became apparent, and the Woogie was born.
