First Apple Store Opens tomorrow in Australia

iPass to provie Wi-fi conectivity for Windows Mobile 6, iPhone and Blackberry

iPass today announced service availability for Windows Mobile 6 devices. Users of the iPass Mobile Office service for enterprises and iPassConnect™ mobility service for individuals can now connect to the Internet via Wi-Fi using their Windows Mobile 6 smartphone and handheld devices. iPass plans to support the Apple iPhone and iPod Touch later this year and intends to support Wi-Fi-enabled Blackberry devices as well. "The popularity of consumer-driven handheld devices changes the paradigm for enterprise IT by allowing people to be productive using Web-based applications through their own smartphone" said Joel Wachtler, VP of marketing and strategy at iPass. Chicagotribune.com, Chicagoland's most comprehensive online source for news and information, launches newsite functionality that makes it easier for visitors to find relatedstories and improve their search experience. Now, most articles on the site will include hyperlinked keywords throughout the text that would take visitors to a topic gallery that features the rich assets of the Chicago Tribune -- related stories, photos and historical archives. "Our visitors are often inspired by the topics they read in our reporting, and we find them going elsewhere to get more information," said Alison Scholly, vice president/interactive and general manager/Chicago Tribune Interactive. "Our new topic galleries make it easier for users to find deep, rich information on a wide variety of subjects, and it keeps them engaged with our website." Users can access topic galleries by clicking on hyperlinks or by finding a listing for more than 15,000 keywords at http://www.chicagotribune.com/topic.
