Coventry, United Kingdom – Full Fat Games today is pleased to announce a poster of “Mahoney” the Zombie Cop to celebrate Zombie Flick 1.0 being featured on the App Store.
Appyzilla – 5/5
“The graphics are immensely good, especially the blood spilling.”
“Flick is a treat for all finger-flicking game fanatics. Buy it if you love playing zombie games.”

Touch Reviews – 5/5
“Decapitation has never been such flicking fun”
“If you like Zombies, buy this game, if you like games, buy this game, it’s that simple!”
“It appears that the developers of Zombie Flick have taken the adage of quality not quantity to heart as while they only have two games in the App Store they are both winners that deserve to be on everybody’s iPhone.”

Helsingborg, Sweden – We at Frictional Games are happy to announce that Amnesia: The Dark Descent has gone gold. We are extremely pleased with our creation and cannot wait to unleash our bundle of madness on the 8th of September. We feel that we have taken a giant leap forward compared to our previous games, the Penumbra series.

Amnesia: The Dark Descent is a first person horror game with a focus on immersion. It is a game where atmosphere and story comes first. We hope that the game will be a breeze of fresh air, in a genre otherwise populated by “one-man-army action hero” sagas. In Amnesia you are almost completely defenseless, something we believe not only makes the game a lot scarier, but also gives a vastly different experience. Do you have what it takes to survive?

Supported Languages:
* US English with localized text for French, German, Italian and Spanish

Recommended Computer Specifications:
* Windows XP/Vista/7, OS X 10.5.8/10.6.4 or Linux distribution released in 2010
* NVIDIA GeForce 6 / ATI Radeon HD
* 2.0 Ghz CPU
* 2 GB RAM
* 2.5 GB Free hard disk space

Pricing and Availability:
On the 8th of September, an interactive nightmare where reality is a fragile concept awaits. Amnesia: The Dark Descent will be priced at only $20 (USD). Journalists are welcome to contact Frictional Games online for review copy requests.

We are a small independent game developer located in the south of Sweden or, to be more precise, located on the Internet – the company is office-free. We develop unique technologies in form of a game engine and tools that are tailored specifically after the games that we create. Currently with a crew of five in-house and a network of contractors to utilize during production we can be dynamic and efficient, increasing production at key moments.

Clinton, Louisiana – Independent developer Buddy Bergman today released version 1.0 of a new app called The Language Buddy that provides a simple interface to enter in a word or short phrase in your native language along with a Romanized “sounds like” spelling for another language. Add that you can also assign photos and audio clips The Language Buddy provides an easy way for you to manage new words and phrases as you make your travels to far off or local lands.

If you find yourself taking a vacation to a far off land and you don’t have time to learn the their language by heart then this app does the next best thing. You can enter in words in your native language, typically English, but it can be any language, and you also enter in the foreign language Romanized “sounds like” spelling. Now you have an easy way to reference that word again in the future. Plus, you can assign pictures and audio clips to those entries!

Lets say you are in South Korea and you go to a restaurant. You want to remember the name of the food you ate so you open up the Language Buddy and take a picture of your meal and enter the name of it plus take a picture and record an audio clip of how to properly pronounce that dish. Now you have reference to that picture anytime you think back wondering what it was that you had that one time.

Features:
* Create multiple language sets like English-to-Spanish, English-to-Korean, Japanese-to-English, etc.
* Create categories to organize your entries like food, phrases, people, etc.
* Add a picture to represent an entry like foods, objects, people, etc.
* Record an audio clip for your entries so you can hear the pronunciation whenever you want
* Search all entries in each language set
* Edit the Entries/Categories/Language Sets
* Change the background color
* Set the application to always startup a particular language set so you can jump right in making new entries without jumping around from screen to screen (Primarily for iOS 3.x since the app will always run in the background when using IOS4 unless the app was explicitly exited)

Examples of Use:
* You are traveling abroad and want to remember simple everyday words like Hello, Goodbye, Good Afternoon, Thank you, etc.
* You are traveling abroad and learn a new word or phrase that you want to note for easy future reference
* You eat some new foreign food and you want to remember how to pronounce that food the next time you want it
* You meet new people and don’t want to forget their name or face, but don’t want to add them to your address book

Device Requirements:
* iPhone, iPod touch
* Requires iPhone OS 3.1.3 or later
* 0.6 MB

Thumbelina, the classic Andersen fairytale, tells the tale of a tiny flower girl, who goes through many adventures and eventually reaches her “happily ever after.” This adaptation to touchscreens sports a fresh design, age-appropriate interactivity and rhyming text. The story makes the readers an important part of the adventure, as they interact and help Thumbelina along her way through various interactions.

“Kids, same as adults, are reading fewer and fewer books. This has a major impact on literacy and on success later in life” says Touchoo’s co-founder and CEO, Omer Ginor. “For the first time in many years, we now have a chance to reverse this process. Bringing a timeless fairy tale such as Thumbelina to young readers in a creative, charming and immersive form – is a great way to re-connect children to the joys of a good storybook and to encourage lasting reading habits.”

The book has been carefully translated to offer equally rhyming and sing-song versions in Spanish, French, German and Japanese; an added bonus for multi-lingual families.

Thumbelina offers readers to:
* Hear the story read by a narrator or record themselves reading the story
* Participate in the story through age-appropriate interactivity
* Control sound effects
* Choose auto page flip to accommodate young readers

Thumbelina’s developmental benefits
* Nurtures the capacity for empathy and for reference to the other
* Increases the ability to cope with difficulties and failures
* Encourages the capacity to seek help
* Nurtures the ability to follow a narrative

Supported Languages:
* US English, French, German, Japanese and Spanish

Device Requirements:

There’s been a big discussion about Android rapid ascension and how it has already smashed the iOS and the iPhone, bla bla bla, but is smart to make clear the big differences here, 1) one thing is Android, the mobile OS launched by Google and used by almost everybody (exc. Nokia/RIM/Microsoft) that based on its massive adoption has grown exponentially; and 2) are the mobile phone manufacturers and their respective mobile devices, if you see these are two totally difference things.

But comparing Android vs iOS, We may find that Android has a larger distribution (Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile, Sprint) and a massive adoption from mobile phone makers, but none of their brands individually has captured the same appeal or the mindshare that the iPhone has enjoyed for a while. Android is a free OS with a lot fragmentation and constant introduction of new devices with ancient versions of the Android or the inclusion of dozens of unremovable crapwares are plaguing the perfect OS experience.

But who is really profiting from Android?
Don’t forget that Android is totally free and the only real benefit for Google is to be the default search engine on Android and while phandroids are always shouting about how wonderful and perfect is Android, you’ve never heard about how many millions Android-based phones are sold at launch, you only got that information on raw percentage growth. All of them (Samsung, Motorola, HTC) even with a free OS hasn’t enjoyed a multi-millions weekend launch in comparison with Apple. Of course, all those Droid, Droid X and robots Android-based phone have enjoyed its own sellouts.

And this is where Android, even with its mandatory growth, hasn’t catapulted any of its adopter to a better position against the iPhone, the OS is important, but hardware quality and innovation are not in the Android adopters’ camp.

Dell could sell millions and millions of cheap (affordable) pcs every quarter, but Apple with smaller sales get a bigger profit from its mac platform, the same can be applied to Android, hey, quantity is important, but profit is still better and Android-based phone makers aren’t in the same Apple’s league. Not this time.

User experience, small fragmentation or not at all and thousand new applications each day make the iOS the perfect mobile experience, something that won’t be possible with different flavors of the same OS, too many poorly designed or not control from Google on how the OS has to be implemented, everybody is just pouring Android inside believing that users are so stupid to buy a phone with an out of the market version of the OS.
